Angela Davis's reaction to Judith Butlers refusal of the award:
We assume that the global north is far more progressive when it comes to accepting diversity, but this assumption itself is racist. I think Judith Butler brings to light a much needed analysis of racist sentiments, even among so-called "progressive" people.
