Gwen Stefani and racism

I read this article by Margaret Cho a few years ago and I thought about it recently while talking about representations of race in Professor Wininger's class. I think it would be an interesting topic to talk about. Here is a link to a couple articles on Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls (which by the way she did not invent!) Does Gwen Stefani perpetuate Asian stereotypes by representing Asians this way?
